You should try reading their other work, By Design. You'll get a whole ass psychology lesson and an in depth explanation of sentience and sapience. With graphs and mathematical equations to support it 💀

it did get a lil heavy-handed in some spots but I thought it was alright overall! Plenty of docile stuff to sort of offset it a bit.

Which is the best earliest chapter you'd say I couldn't even get past the first it just made me cringe so hard. This isn't the only fic I've skipped over the first few chapters and end up liking it overall anyway but for this one I'd like to know where it would actually hook me.

HMMM I mean, I think around ch5 is when I felt things picking up a little? The early chapters are important for setting, but if the pace is a bit slow skimming probably works fine.

I find it ironic that I'm writing an Angel and Demon fic myself and will have to write similar people but my Izuku is far from oblivious from the start what's going on. Yet I can't read this without skipping the first few chapters. Though mine has a more non religious style there is no God in it.

Mm I would just suggest reading it. There's sort of a purpose to Dk's obliviousness since he's our perspective for the story and so we experience many of the same revelations as he does. There's a good amount of lore in the story but its all interesting when u get into it.
