Nice. I know Cal Dietz (university of Minnesota strength coach) really likes something similar and had throwers going 800+. Much more interesting than the reincarnation of a more annoying Henry Ford.
I've seen videos of people doing a Hatfield split squat (both legs on the ground) for well above six plates but 800 just sounds otherworldly. throwers are so freakishly strong
I’ve gone up to high 5’s but it absolutely crushes you for a few days. Something about having that much weight on your back is killer. Probably why cal likes them so much you have to do everything you can to move the weight in a way no other lift can replicate. The long eccentrics don’t help either
