I am wondering the same damn thing. Last year our Working Families Party offered to do them for free, and I’m hoping they do so again. Plus TT keeps getting me in trouble with City Revenue, so double phuck them.

You can file for free directly with the IRS. Depending on your state, you wouldn't have to pay anything if you are filing simple returns.

Yeah, this has been going for a hot minute. Turbotax and H R block and all the tax filing companies fought hard to have this buried so people couldn't take advantage of the free filing.
