I dunno if you’re the kind of buddy that likes watching anime, but there’s wild horse stuff to be seen over there. I think if you did a systematic survey of cheap fantasy anime you’d find like, 5 shared 3D horse models that a whole bunch of production studios share for some reason.

even wilder is the amount of what I’ve come to call “ghost horses” - where they just don’t show a horse on screen at all, they just imply one is there, just off screen. Once you notice this stuff, its impossible to not pick up on it. it’s everywhere

Those horses look CG, maybe the studio reused assets from different projects. That would save time in the anime production for trivial elements.

I have no current plans to put horses in a game so this isn’t currently useful for me but I’m all for this kind of hyper-specific niche deep dive just in general lmao

I’m absolutely bookmarking this in case I decide to add horses into a game later, though I like these kinds of details
