If people who hated smutty booktok books wanted to talk about the racist/sexist/queerphobic tropes, the cultural rise in anti-intellectualism and similar themes I’d be all for it but they’re just pissed off by women’s sexual autonomy. It’s just people being uncomfortable and puritanical
