Thanks! Was a last minute decision really. All the other heads I had planned on using just looked doofy. I was given that particular Iron Fist to use his arms on another slap-together, so I had this perfectly good gold mask head to use. Tried it on the Nova body and it grew on me. 👍😁👍

The head is pretty generic, and affixed to the mask. It is visible from the backside, as the mask has no backing. It's one of the extremely few pieces I actually took the gold ink pen to. I wasn't too excited with the mask's actual color, with regards to the character I was slapping together.

Since it's PD, I could have just stuck with the plain 'Mighty Man'. But since he's also a little bit Miracleman, I kinda wanted to mix a little something in the name to reflect that influence.

They were resurrected by Malibu Comics in the 1990s as 'The Protectors'....a favorite series. And to this day, versions are continually being used by Erik Larsen, Dynamite Comics, even former Protectors scribe RA Jones has penned versions in novel format, amongst many others. That's the joy of PD.

The Protectors was my favorite series back then, along with AC Comics 'Femforce'. When I was going by the moniker 'Rob Running Water', I had numerous letters printed in both.

Cool! I've only got a few malibu comics. I've read all of Prime and Mantra and bits of Ultraforce here and there. Gonna try track down some others will definitely put Protectors on the list.

I would. Original Mighty Man was a character published by the long defunct Golden Age publishing house, Centaur Publications. They were responsible for such PD favorites as Amazing Man, The Eye, Mighty Man, Man Of War, Eternal Man, The Ferret, and many many others.
