When they first announced Recall was the day I dropped Microsoft completely. I'd already been ignoring my stationary for 1-2 years after updating to the adware nightmare that is Windows 11.
Everyone should switch to Linux if they can. They'll keep pushing surveillance ware for data harvesting.
MSFT had seemingly refused to move the direction of Android for years. Then I bought a new laptop w/ W11 and was presented with ... GD "ad preferences" on setup in addition to the unavoidable MSFT root account.
Because everyone loves owning a computer that sends you more notifications than your cellphone, randomly restarts or forces your out of your program while gaming. I tried to turn off as much telemetry as I possibly could, but it never got as good as I have it now.
latest forced update to Microsoft 365+ (... why is this SaaS?!), now Copilot something, and price hike you HAVE TO be connected to the internet to use it. 😂 Deleted that slop immediately and installed @libreoffice.bsky.social instead.
"Users will opt-in". Guessing it's going to be included in a standard update that's probably already set to auto-install so you're not even going to know it's being added. 😑

Well it works pretty good for me in this exact sort of shopping scenario, I buy a lot of fashion stuff online and I have lost track of how many times I've lost track of something and then found it in the history with that search.
Yes, but there's a demo out there that struggles with anything with a hint of "power user", like using the file system. To wit: people whose phone galleries consist of screenshots rather than downloaded images.
