That’s awful. And needlessly cruel. I hate to point this out, but if they’re saying it was for cause, your friend may not be eligible for unemployment benefits. Really hope I’m wrong

it may depend on the state but often one IS eligible for unemployment if fired for cause. The cause has to be pretty bad to not be eligible, not just incompetence, but rising to the level of actual criminality like stealing from an employer.

Really hoping *every* federal employee has printed hard copies of their performance reviews and other relevant documents and taken them home.

Aside from these firings getting struck down by judges, it'd love to see the lot of them take Elmo to court and beggar him to their collective enrichment
