I guess the answer is yes, provided you believe the strike zone is defined as a 3D volume. But if you believe it is a 2D plane, then it is only necessary to specify the width, height, and location of that plane.

That tracks more with anecdotal evidence… (thanks for the reply)… then doesn’t it also underscore a reason for it to be measured in 3 axes?

Guess I missed the overall takeaway - I was hoping for something closer to 99% so that 2D was closer to precise - the 93% indicates that we need to get into the heads of the framers and their intentions!
(Is there a “Constitutional Law” class for MLB?)
