Let’s reframe this story. A family of wild boars is being terrorized by people in Texas because humans believe they have more right to that piece of our planet than the wildlife that was introduced there by us. They did not ask to be there, but now they simply want to take care of their family.

The thing about feral hogs is that one thing we could do that could affect wild pig populations is to reintroduce apex predators like cougars and wolves into the midwest and the south where theyve been extirpated, but something tells me that would not be popular with the general population

Grew up with a rancher neighbor who kept killing our dogs for harmlessly chasing their sheep a bit when running around.

They will not hear about any reason to allow actual predators to live.
