DOJ won't answer a federal judge's questions today about how many federal employees were fired last week or how many might be in the coming weeks—and submits a sworn declaration making a claim the judge found doubtful:

That Elon Musk "has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions."

Why is the news giving the judge a way to make her decision expected? So people digest this, and not react if she does allow the firings and closures to continue? It bothers me. The press needs to step it up. And news by Reuters and the NYT should all be public at this precipice.
