What made you think they wrote about veganism once? On the contrary it seems central to their beliefs. Clearly vegans aren’t generally homicidal maniacs, I think most people can make the distinction.

Veganism was literally a throwaway line in the article. What you spent far more time covering was rationalism. But ‘rationalist cult’ isn’t as divisive or attention-grabbing as ‘vegan cult’ now is it?

Unless you have proof that veganism was at the core of their belief structure and influenced their world view, it’s totally irrelevant.

I saw this morning that during the editing process, "vegan" was left in the headline while some of the other main ideas of the cult were left out. I think that's undue prominence and we've taken it out of the headline. Extreme veganism is indeed pretty central to their beliefs

Thanks for appreciating that the headline was poorly worded, and fixing.

I can’t imagine that the headline was meant to read ‘Rationalist Science-based anarchist Vegan cult’.

But there we are.

(Living in Scotland, I’m well-used to BBC bias in the use of headlines. Everyone here is)

We have the evidence in the form of writing and court documents. Also please stop with the "we see you" nonsense which sounds creepy and vaguely threatening particularly when you're trying to make an argument about reasonable and peaceful belief systems, which I think would include most vegan ideas
