my favorite thing to watch on youtube is game music analysis, but if I could have one wish from a genie, I'd ask that every youtuber stop using the world "leitmotif" when they mean "character theme"

I will never get used to how that term has been mainstreamed in the vgm space like I don't ever use it unless I'm deep in the weeds discussing Wagnerian opera (which is like once a decade lol)
