As for help, I agree—we should be giving Ukraine way more. But even with what little the West is providing, Russia is still barely making progress at an insane cost. If they need this level of effort for a few kilometers, what happens when their logistics finally break?

And tremendous cost for us. We are doing too much with too little, like in the beginning of 2022. Western equipment in tiny quantities starts to deliver only in June 2022. And you get used to it. But all this looks not so funny with an underequipped unit with 100 men against 3000

The sad reality is that we’re not afraid of Russia—not because we don’t take the threat seriously, but because France provides a credible nuclear deterrent, and even conventionally, Europe could decapitate the Russian government in short order if they actually invaded us.

Hope you are right about this. In Afganistan at peak levels US was around 100,000 and Europe combined 30,000. You really didn't have enough capacity even in 2020, and the peak was in the 2010s. France doesn't have enough warheads to deter ruzzia, without US it's irrelevant for them

They’ve got 250 modern nukes from the ‘90s, and Russia has exactly two population centers worth hitting. Ukraine has already exposed how laughably bad Russian air defense is.

If that’s not a credible deterrent, I don’t know what is.
