I think you're definitely right. I guess I got really spoiled because I used to be in fandoms that had a decent amount of 30+ yr old people who wrote amazing fic. But fandoms these days seem to have less and less older folks every day. Thank you for the recs, I will read them!

100%, I welcome fresh folks into fandom and I assume that many of them will have the same arc I did getting comfortable with messy fiction, but I do treasure every older/feral fandom creator I find. I do kind of miss the days of "lemon" fics. I try to comment and leave some love on the good stuff 👌
