Here’s the rsp I got from my Repub Senator, @mccormick.bsky.social. How he can vote yes for ppl who have either participated in 1/6, have no medical/research creds or have ties to foreign enemies, I don’t know but he has justified it by saying a pres can pick his cabinet!

Sadly it’s a BS line they’re all using. They completely ignore the fact that a president only NOMINATES, & it’s the Senate’s duty to determine whether or not they are qualified & should be confirmed. Checks & balances!

Otherwise, why don’t we forget having senators & save the nation some money.
