Same here, I deleted my account this morning citing, ‘TikTok’s capitulation with terroristic grifters & corruption’ as my “Other” reason.

That ‘fun’ online community feeling was completely obliterated in one fell swoop for me.

indeed, the US part of tiktok is either going to go away again or turn into a rightwing/maga cesspool. i think moving over to the sites/apps using the AT Protocol is going to be the future for many. just hope the folks developing the apps are getting the financials needed to grow...

TikTok also has lots of AI generated stuff now. Nat LaJune noted it yesterday regarding the CA fires if you go to the search. It’s gross (incl 🤡 putting out fires). It seems like a testing ground for propaganda & AI and erasing real footage and actual history.
