I had one as a kid and it was such a weird funky thing.

I like it, but if I'm honest modern DLC is better for being less complicated and not having booster packs, because yeah the Mario Advance 4 stuff was booster pack DLC

So glad I got a mostly complete collection of cards, the price on that has gotten ridiculous like a lot of stuff, the marriage of old school tech and new tech was too cool to ignore though I really love the idea that code can still be printed on a card and read and executed with a bar code scanner

Of all the dumb things to miss about childhood the thing I miss most is having friends on the bus/playground with GBAs and DSs that you can trade and battle in person. Online will never match that. 2015 Pokemon Go was the closest we got to that as adults even tho I'm not a fan of the game overall.
