I don't think people (who aren't trans) understand just how bad things have gotten for trans people. And we've been trying to sound the alarm for years but keep getting brushed off/told we're exaggerating/ignored/ridiculed/get accused of "canceling" people.

We see it. We’re furious about it too. There are more people standing shoulder to shoulder with every trans person then one might think. It’s an absolute a dereliction of civic duty not to directly confront bigotry rule at every turn, every single time it happens. Human rights are human rights.

There are so many things I have to explain to people, and it’s so fucking exhausting. (I have a kid who is trans.)

My daughter is in college now, and lives in a gender inclusive section of a large dorm, and loves it. Her and her friends have literally known nothing but acceptance from her peers and it is directly because of your efforts and people like you.
