He's so dangerously stupid. People didn't start getting diagnosed with any regularity until the 90s and even then it was mostly boys. Diagnosis is up because we understand what autism is now. Kennedy alone has set autistic people back decades and seems intent on continuing.

As a parent of school-aged kids, it seems to me that a cause of the "autism epidemic" is an active effort to prevent bullying of kids who are different. Like every cultural issue with MAGA, it boils down to "people who aren't just like me shouldn't exist."

Setting aside literally everything else about this, acting like autism hasn't been extensively studied is objectively false. The reason we haven't "found a cure" isn't because scientists just can't be assed to care.
