Having an interesting time with this duck.... Originally I ID'd as a female N. pintail - the green in photo processing threw me off... Merlin says pintail to non green pics, and GW Teal to where the green shows... hybrid? Not GW teal petite, but not perfectly pintail... Thoughts, #bird team? - ThreadSky

It’s a bigger duck for sure! Everyone I have shown it took get mixed vibes, so I’m interested to see what folks think. Like it doesn’t seem perfectly teal or pintail… is it a pinteal?!

maybe it's a hybrid. someone, years ago, dumped their Swedish Black ducks in the neighborhood pond. Now, there are mallards with white patches on their chests.
