Having recently watched this episode for the first time, it was indeed very very good. Essential viewing.

From what I've seen a lot of Gundam fans who have not seen Turn A seem to be under the impression that the cow episode is like bad or infamous when it is in fact a very good episode and integral to both the plot and themes of the series
