making peers with fellow comic creators is a good start, learning from those who've been doing it for awhile, you can always join us as a volunteer and take time to learn from resources in our discord group. artists often work for comics through networking and a strong portfolio of sequential work!

Hi, I want to make sure I understand this question right so I don't mess the results:

"What ANNUAL income lets you live comfortably without outside assistance from friends, family, or the government?"

Does that mean how much DO I make, or how much WOULD I hypothetically need to live comfortably?

I went to answer it but see you do not have options for editorial and production staff which might be helpful given they’re another set of comics jobs that are heavily exploited, especially in entry-level positions often staffed by comic creators in need of a day job!

Hi! We didn't include editorial/production in this survey because we're measuring a different set of data and including that would make our numbers difficult to sort. Also- they have their own groups that should be doing this! You could pass this on to https://www.the-efa.org/ or https://www.edsguild.org/, for ex.
