I guess I'm confused why Wallem would limit Hartel's freedom more than Celio/Indy since they'd be inverted too. Is it just an assumption they're directive would be to attack straight down the sideline whereas Wallem would be given more freedom to cut in?
I could be wrong but I feel like Hartel would be force high and wide sometimes with wallem. More so than Indy and Celio who would probably go high and wide quite often for the reasons I listed. But I think you have a good point. Probably not much more or less limiting.
I forgot Indy is left-footed, so he wouldn't be inverted. That said he's not the fastest player down the wing, so I think he might be forced to cut inside more often. Celio is pacier but his strength of going 1v1 forces him to slow down at times to beat his man.
Since we don't have a fast, direct style left-footed option, I think the difference between them and Wallem in direction of attack would be negligible unless they're given individual directives.
Could be right. Celio and Indy probably want to cut inside as much as the next winger. I guess I wonder if Olof will direct players to tend toward certain parts of the field as a tactic.
