I had the thought that Emmy has those glow in the dark star stickers that go on your ceiling.
Bronev got them for her in an attempt to stop her from going to the roof to stargaze. Emmy likes the stars. They’re not too visible from the Nest.
Eventually, Bronev thought she was too old for them and made her get rid of them. But she hid them and ended up taking them to her apartment when she moved to London. There, even with the light pollution, she could see the stars. But the stickers remain on her ceiling.
