They might not have voted for the car to be driven off the cliff, but they did vote to hand the keys to a man who repeatedly promised to drive the car off the cliff.

Now getting hit by the reality and unable to admit their own part in hurting themselves and their families, friends etc.
This is like looking at one piece of a puzzle and thinking "yeah that's all I need just this piece" when in fact the whole puzzle is sitting in the background just out of sight. I don't understand how they don't look at the whole puzzle?
Do understand though that their reality is encapsulated by a constant barrage of lies that while they make no sense, are consistently reinforced in a feedback loop.
They know, BUT they donβt have autonomy anymore. They believed it would be good.

They just assumed that what they voted for would be visited on other people - women, gays, brown people etc - and not on them.
