I was told, bring your favorite dish, having dinner with our wonderful neighbors and their kids and grandkids. Last year I brought the turkey and stuffing, guess it wasn't as good as we thought. Going with my sweet potato casserole.

Yukon gold potatoes, lots of real salted butter, whole milk and a wee dash of buttermilk with a sprinkle of chives on top. I mash 'em, put them in a tray and then bake them until the top gets lightly colored

For years, I was asked to bring the veggie tray to my in-laws Thanksgiving and Christmas while I was asked to bring almost everything except dessert to my side (I’m not a great baker)
I’ve never been able to figure out why
*Now that my (in-law) nieces and nephews are organizing it, I get requests🤷‍♀️
