Tiktok is an actual open town square with the most unfiltered access to information and each other we had. You won't fully understand if you never really used it. No matter how you view the app, this is stripping away the freedom of speech and assembly. They don't want us talking to each other.
What I liked is even if it was a flood of info it got me engaged enough that I would go find the truth by doing research on and off tik tok. Which other apps really never pushed me to do so that was cool 💛
It's so hard to put into words just how unique and special the algorithm is/was. Especially for non-users. I really hope people can see the truth of what's going on and what we've lost.
That doesn't even scratch the surface of how this is taking away millions of jobs and small businesses that use TT to pay their bills. How you can view government suppression of information and speech as "net positive" is disturbing. This isn't even actually about Tiktok. It's control.
TikTok's algorithm is radicalizing people in Europe as we speak. It is not an open town square for people to form a community. It's a one way ticket to getting fascist parties elected.
There's nothing radical about being able to talk to each other freely. What's radical is letting gov't ban an app that they all own competing stocks in and accepting money from Fuckerberg to make it happen. All while insurance companies continue to deny us coverage til we die, hungry in the streets.
Everything you say is regurgitated misinformation and propaganda. You clearly didn't use the app and don't know what you're talking about. Get off FB and legacy media. You're part of the problem.
No? We have data that clearly shows young people are becoming increasingly right-wing in Germany and that the AfD has a massive presence on the platform because they know that they can indoctrinate people there using the algorithm.
