I have a few of the "nanocoaster" metal roller coaster models. They're not nearly as intricate, but built in the same manner. I've got the tiny tools and a magnifier now, so I sometimes think about fancier metal models, but with your example to guide me, I may be able to resist.
I have a handful of Metal Earth models that I bought awhile ago with the ambition plan of spending a weekend building them. Every so often I pull them out, look them over…then put them away again without building them because I realize my mind, patience, and hands are not ready for such a challenge.
I started collecting those bent metal kits on trips to Tokyo, about 20y ago (it started in Tokyu Hands toy section), mostly focusing on the Star-Wars ships and aviation models, and I have a bin of them, yet I have yet to assemble even one.
They don't take much storage room and work as a collection

Give those a look if you're wanting something that takes hours instead of days.

As a transformers collector who doesn’t leave them in the box, sometimes I kind of wish they were all in boxes, logistically speaking 🤣
An entire week! Just to craft one foot! Incredible.
TY for sharing! I would've otherwise never known that this entire world exists!!
