Avowed has been growing on me (like a fungus). I kept comparing it to Skyrim but in truth it’s actually more like a modern Morrowind. It has that depth, complexity, and just weird audacity that Morrowind had. It feels like a truly alien world with intricate lore. And it’s so well written.

Yes! this is a Dad RPG!
Not too open, not too much crafting, not too complex RPG mechanics, not too unforgiving combat, no respawning enemies.
Bonus: If you played Pillars 1 or 2 you will feel right at home while not really overwhelmed by previous lore.

Not too much crafting... Count me in. I used to like complex games when I was younger, but now I have a complex busy job so I just want to *relax* and *enjoy* my game time. Give me an easier mode even - that's accessible imho.

We are sitting on the last boss of the Elden Ring DLC, so I get my difficulty fix there. Games like this that have 70 or 80 hours of content, I’d rather just walk around and look at stuff.

Usually I tend to stick with default difficulty on games that have more than one level since the balancing often is not great. Here I found myself walking over almost every enemy in Dawnshore. Let’s see how the next province goes.

Coming from Veilguard, I find even the movement is super quick and fun. And they have the best quality of life feature ever: Toggle run is sticky even after jumping/climbing
