My “great aunt”, whom I suspect was possibly gay or trans, would be on that list. I’d love to get clarification, use proper pronouns, and show acceptance they never got.

I had never seen anything like it before, and it changed me, and gave me so much hope to see a future that looked, and felt, nothing like my present.

I have loved, and still love, unique stories and unique characters. I love seeing them. I especially love creating them, writing backstory, weaving the ‘why’ that explains who they are.

I hope someday I might be able to introduce you to a few of them, one in particular. She is incredible.

She’s a smart mouthed, give zero fucks, badass, vigilante-type with a monstrously cool superpower and a soft spot for the underdog.

I aspire to let go of the ‘controlled’, ‘perfect’, ‘always pleasant’ facade I was groomed to reflect, and honestly make a scene and fuck some shit up, like she would.
