I don’t love all the people mocking voters who care about the price of eggs. If you have limited wages, you care about things like the cost of eggs. It’s not rocket science to understand this and people sound kinda classist when they mock it.

You can counter with data about whether this is a valid point and how Trump doesn’t help them. I understand this but a lot of people didn’t so we can be morally superior about it or we can try to figure out how to change/ out organize them. But, we’re not bringing people to our side by mocking
I agree, but my problem is that, if one is truly concerned about exorbitant food prices, in what reality are you inhabiting that you truly believe that Trump has the proper economic policy solutions to bring down the overall cost of living in this country?
Yeah, the problem is that you don't fix a problem by denying that it's a problem. You fix the problem by agreeing that it's a problem but adding context and solutions.
Honestly, Harris's biggest hurdle was the right was very effective at tying her to Biden's legacy. Should have stamped it out hard.
And you can do it in a way that doesn't throw Biden under the bus. Point out some good he did, but say "it's a complicated problem that we're still working on. Here's how we're going to do it."
Yes, exactly. What is the counter message offered? "No, the economy is fine, look at these indicators," doesn't work for people who are struggling. It doesn't excuse the bigotry, etc. that they also voted for but I don't see how it helps to keep saying, "this is what you got bc of the cost of eggs"
Try to explain that we are experiencing the effects of climate change?- driving bird flu epidemics, increasing the price of eggs, causing general inflation, etc so stop voting for Authoritarian candidates that make you feel “safe”, keeps you stuck in the viscous cycle depicted in this graphic…
I only mock that concept because the price of eggs has dropped precipitously. I remember paying $6 for factory farmed kroger brand eggs a couple years ago.
Willingly believing lies that are obviously lies from a liar who famously lies all the time in order to usher in fascism because you don’t like trans people and immigrants in order to have eggs that cost 50 cents less is the issue. You are correct, but there is that perception of being hateful.
And I'll never mock people on the economic margins BUT there's a world of difference between their genuine plight and people who choose to live beyond their means then throw an electoral hissy fit because the cheap steak and eggs they insist they're entitled to cuts into their Stanley mug budget.
