2/ From the screengrab, taken from a Snap tagged as near Gaza City, pay attention to two factors, the shapes on the top of the background building (red square) and the parade of high rises (yellow arrow).

3/ Another Snap called up in the same spot shows the 180 view. It shows we’re right beside the sea, so very likely on the Al Rashid road. And, again, gives us a building to look for (left-hand side of this pic).

4/ This clip turns north and we can see the same parade of high-rise buildings as the screengrabbed clip, with a bit more detail.

5/ Going along the length of the Al Rashid coastal road, the only spot with such a tall, flat-roofed building with a prominent, square-roofed bit of furniture (a fire escape) on top, with further tall buildings to the north, is here, circled in red. Let’s call it a primary landmark.

6/ It can be hard to tell the heights of buildings from satellite-only imagery, but shadows are always useful. Here you can see the parade of those high-rises to the north.

7/ However, there’s two of those 'primary landmark' buildings, according to Google, and buildings standing where we saw rubble in the clips. Plus, where's the seaside park? Well, we’re lucky to have proprietary satellite imagery. Here’s the same spot, 27 December, at 0.5m/px from Planet Labs.
