I've always been drawn to humor (across all age ranges/genres), and I'm hearing from editors that they're also looking for books that will primarily entertain.
Traditional PB bios (e.g. from birth to death) are a challenge, and I am looking for NF PB that pushes boundaries (so it can stand out!).
