This is really only for fantasy physics that wants rational, empirical trappings. Common in soft sci-fi and a lot of modern pop-fantasy.

The more mythic, dreamlike, mystical your story's fantasia, the less this shit helps. Part of why DA's magic is a long-term fascination & frustration of mine.
