look into manjaro or endeavor, they both have installers so a lot of the intimidation of CLI install is out of the equation. manjaro in particular (i say this as someone who uses it daily) nerfs a lot of stuff and is pretty accessible
i tried using endeavor before on an old machine but could not get things configured properly. eventually i will try out some kind of arch variant again
