Musk has a particular reason for gutting FAA, EPA, Highway safety, etc. as they are all investigating his business. What I don’t understand is why NOAA? Wouldn’t weather forecasts keep SpaceX safe?

My guess is that he wants to control something within the NOAA. I'm not well versed in what technology they use, but there's something of interest to him, it seems. Since he's all about control.

As the wife of an NWS Met, I am heartbroken by what is being done. These men and women go to work each day to protect life and property. They don’t care about political affiliation, net worth, or where you are from. They just want to protect us.
