as much as i love and respect comics, i feel like its never a fully genuine answer when someone goes with a comic in response to this question. like they knew it was about fully written works but wanted to be subversive or something. either that or they need to read more PLEASE

(my answer to the prompt is either "the outsiders" by S.E. hinton or "slaughterhouse-five" by kurt vonnegut, although i have been reading "the martian" by andy weir recently and i really enjoy it so far, so maybe thatll be a contender soon)

I really recommend The Sirens of Titan! Really good one to start with, and all the rest of them are really good as well (My fav is Breakfast of Champions)
