considering that flutter adaptive scaffold was never polished to support go router with canonical layouts I cannot say that I am not surprised...especially when they directly coupled the hinge function of foldables in the wrong way....

The app I'm writing now uses GoRouter. Is it still the recommended solution? On Reddit people were saying that it's fine because it's "complete".

Flutter team considers it "feature complete". It has 309 open issues https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues?q=is%3Aopen%20go_router and 68 of them are proposal/new feature tagged https://github.com/flutter/flutter/issues?q=is%3Aopen%20label%3A%22c%3A%20proposal%22%20go_router%20 That said, it has a lot of features and is used in many production projects.

Probably most feature complete alternative is the also well known auto_route https://pub.dev/packages/auto_route, but beamer https://pub.dev/packages/beamer can also be an option, it is a bit different though. GoRouter is still very usable though and will probably remain so, for a while at least.
