fortunately i am part of a fandom and so i feel like bsky is more social for me than twitter ever was! in saying that though, i have made the effort to engage with a lot more people here than i did before on other platforms, leaving comments and actually reaching out has gotten me a lot of mutuals

Agreed <:( !! While I do really love the community and how Bluesky functions, it’s definitely a lot more quieter than twitter, and you don’t see as many new posts or activity as you would on twitter sobs T_T

I think it's partly because there is no algorithm to feed you content like on other places. You have to actively curate your own space and interact in order to gain engagement. It is very different from other socials but worth the effort 👌

i agree! 😩 I go through my whole dashboard in half an hour even on days I don’t log on til the evening! it can be a little bit of a ghost town I suppose if you don’t follow hundreds and hundreds of people

Not many good chats with people; I see a lot of commissions and people describing individual struggles but I don’t often see people talking to each other or sharing the love on Bluesky. Everything feels kinda impersonal here, unfortunately.

Probably because most of the people that used this social were still on Twitter, so they started forgeting to post here and got back to using it... And it's really sad tbh... Many people I used to follow here just started going back to X cuz of the engagement and stuff. I'm so tired of this... :(
