If they implement this officially it should hide the button if the website linked leads to nowhere/not set up/blank page from the registrar

that would be cool but idk how they could detect blank registrar pages? i was gonna make it ignore https://bsky.social links but i couldnt be arsed

Hmm yeah. I guess the easiest way they could do this is making the button visibility an opt in thing

yeah ideally i think it should just be that. maybe have it in the change handle section so people see it when setting a custom domain

Oh i had an idea maybe put the website's favicon in place of the globe icon but eh nvm it can be abused

yeah cant really moderate that i guess so might not be a great idea. and also probably more confusing than a generic url icon
