Jon — any thoughts on this? The silence coming out of Airline CEOs is deafening — surely they need to be ensuring the public that it’s safe to fly, in the face of DOGE saying we’re months from catastrophic failure while asking for retired FAA agents to come back to work. That’s just since this am.

Appreciate you asking. I have to admit my bias in this case is just too strong to weigh in meaningfully. Musk is SUCH an idiot and he's so, so dangerous-- I'm just hoping people wake up soon, but this is a total clusterfuck.

The comments I'm receiving behind the scenes are so alarming-- although..

.. *ALL*-- *without exception*-- state very strongly "flying is still incredibly safe" -- and I know that's true.

But that will continue to be the case in *spite* of the actions of Trump/Musk- certainly not because of them.

Thank you . These calls for concern in flying safety seem to go without rebuttal. And these airlines have shareholders too. I can only imagine this is a loss in passenger confidence and at some point (if not already) it’s going to hurt their bottom line & share value.
