The problem is who is going to arrest him as MAGA controls the DOJ. And if he is sued civilly, and issued a subpoena to appear, and refuses to appear, again who enforces the contempt motion? We are in uncharted legal waters now.

I believe the battle will form where civil contempt becomes criminal contempt, and whether or not Trump can pardon criminal behavior at the local level on a civil case. Even if Musk defies, or the Marshall’s office refuses to enforce, the delay remains and the criminality is exposed.

I’m hoping that forcing musk to either comply or publicly refuse to comply will influence the swing voter in the next midterms. Contempt in 1 case affects all other cases the administration is involved in as a bad faith marker not to mention the potential for civil forfeiture of assets for contempt
