I don't think I agree. Apart from the tutorial cases, you never see the killer at the start – if it appears you do, it's inevitably a red herring. Columbo knows the killer the second he walks in, and just has to lay a trap. Phoenix takes 3 days to realise Ima Killa might not be trustworthy.
