For example, people don’t realize, but India had a GDP of 25% of the global economy.

After the British came, exploited it, and left, it fell to less than 4%

Exploited for our labor, our land, our gold, our resources, our food, our very souls.

That reminds me of something Jesse Wente said in a documentary I watched recently, which sounds like a response to that, or a continuation of the thought: "The thing that colonial states fear the *most* is to be colonized."
