Shout was the first Beatles book I ever read when I was 10 and because it was written by a “grown up” and I bought it from Smiths I took it as gospel. The Look-In version, it turns out, was a more accurate representation.

I had Broad St and Pipes of Peace when they came out as a pre-teen but because of all the anti-Paul sentiment it was years until I listened to the majority of his solo material. It really annoys me now how I fell for it.
I saw The Art of the Beatles exhibition at the Walker on my 13th birthday. Those Arthur Ranson pages (along with a lot of that exhibition) had a profound effect on me. Still got the exhibition poster framed in our hallway.
Signed! What a treasure. I love her illustrations in A Twist of Lennon. Her work was so charming. She was still living in Ruthin when I was a child. Not far from where I grew up.
