I'm a big fan of Grand Knight's History, and I loved Grand Kingdom, but Unicorn Overlord didn't have the same grasp on my attention unfortunately. UO felt more in line with something like Fire Emblem, but in real time, which is pretty cool. I'm impressed the director is also a programmer and artist!

In the beginning it very much plays like a FE with type matchups, but at late game combat feels more like crashing two rube goldberg machines into each other. Very fun and full of depth.
UO’s big weakness imo is story and mission variety.
