A person (now sadly passed away) who was & always will be very important to me, & who lives on in my heart, soul & memory forever, was trans. Because of her, I became a fierce ally of trans people. Today, on TDR, I pause, think of her, & recommit to standing with and up for trans people and rights.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence.
More than ever, we must stand by our trans family and support them, hold space for them, and insist the scapegoating and targeting stop.
