The one on the left is the current version of Arsenal's Scythe made by me a few months ago. in those few months i've undergone a HUGE style shift and am just using this as an excuse to talk more about that, so let's talk about it!

The current Scythe in arsenal is a very grounded design overall, looking very similar to many Scythes in real life. personally this isn't my preference for Scythes as weapons due to their more edgy, combat oriented view in today's media and it makes this one feel less like a weapon and more like-
- more like a tool. granted, that was the intended design that RAT wanted when made so more power to anyone who prefers it as it does its job just fine! however the scythe in arsenal is less of a tool and moreso a weapon with tool capabilities like breaking hay blocks and such.
As a result of the more weaponised nature i wanted to try a design that was more weaponised overall, while still giving a generic and still similar design to the original, vibing more like an actual large and imposing weapon to showcase on your back rather than a regular scythe.
generally i prefer scythes with more goofy and weaponised design, and i believe it works best in arsenal due to its nature as a weapon. it does paradoxically end up being MORE generic considering how many scythes there are in the MC art community space (especially after RAT's Clown Scythe video), -
- but i consider it a worthy sacrifice as i rarely see many scythes capitalising on this specific style i've decided to use for my personal newer iteration. speaking of which, let's talk style for a moment!
the style of the original scythe is fine, it serves its purpose and several people have stated they even prefer it and that's completely fine, however i've found that this more simple style fits far nicer in with MC's more cartoony world and ends up feeling far more grand with the newer colors.
