So you KNOW the meat industry is invested in making us think plant based meat alternatives are unhealthy...

but groups opposed to plant-based meat substitutes promoted a narrative that these foods were particularly unhealthy (echoing decades-old pattern)
whether omnivores or ppl who eat vegetarian or vegan, many folx may not know how long this battle by meat/dairy industry to stigmatize using their products less has been waged. but it dates back (in the US) to the 1950s
if u enjoy understanding forces that manipulate culture it's 1 to look at!
but for sure, fauxmeats have benefits for some ppl+to jump in arguing against that- *as* a nonmeateater- *in context of this 1 story*- is at best offtopic+at worst just trolling
